THE SPACE
We're Jay and Dora, and we designed this loft for remote workers, couples reconnecting and solo travelers who want to decompress without big-city prices. You'll have both floors and the backyard to yourself. A striking spiral staircase connects the two levels, and downstairs you'll find a generous living area with a comfortable futon, a smart TV, board games, books, a sound system, arcade games and a game console. Heating and air-conditioning run on both levels, and we've added portable fans for extra comfort. If you need to work, you'll have a dedicated workspace with fast Wi-Fi, and the dining table doubles as extra laptop space.

KITCHEN & DINING
You'll find a full kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, mini fridge, freezer and microwave, so cooking a proper dinner is easy. We stock cooking basics, cookware, dishes, silverware and wine glasses, and we leave a coffee maker and coffee out so your mornings start right. The dining table is ready for meals or laptop time. An in-unit washer and dryer mean you can pack light and wash as you go on longer stays.
OUTDOORS
Step out the door to your private backyard, where you'll find outdoor seating, outdoor furniture, a dining area and a patio. It's a lovely place for morning coffee, an evening glass of wine, or simply breathing in the quiet.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The loft sits on a calm residential street in Douglas, Arizona, a historic international border town, about five minutes from the border. You'll be about five minutes from downtown Douglas, where cafés, murals and early-1900s architecture make for an easy evening stroll. The G Avenue Historic District is also about five minutes away, with its iconic early-1900s storefronts, and the Douglas-Williams House Museum is about six minutes away if you'd like to dig into regional history. GOOD TO KNOW
• Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. You'll have a private entrance, and we send a short rental agreement to e-sign after you book.
• Parking: free parking on the premises, plus free street parking.
• Stairs and accessibility: the loft has a spiral staircase as the route between floors. It isn't wheelchair accessible and may not suit guests with mobility concerns or very young children.
• Provided: fresh linens, towels, cooking basics, coffee, extra pillows and blankets, a washer and dryer, and a travel crib.
• Dogs: well-behaved dogs are welcome, up to two. Please get our approval before booking, as a pet fee applies. Sorry, no cats.
• House rules: quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM, and we ask for no parties or events and no smoking inside (outside is fine). Guests under 18 need to be with a parent or legal guardian. Douglas residents can't book this retreat.
